About

Dylan grew up in Central Virginia surrounded by contractors, carpenters, and tradespeople from all backgrounds. Some of his earliest memories were of his childhood home being built by his father and a dedicated crew of family and friends. That home remains in the family to this day. His summers were spent on job sites hauling lumber, swinging a hammer, and generally soaking up as much construction knowledge as possible. After earning his undergraduate degree from UNC-Asheville, Dylan served a year in AmeriCorps helping to coordinate urban sustainability initiatives and multi-generational programs to foster strong communities and safe neighborhoods. Dylan also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity helping to build homes. Dylan is certified by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board, has been trained by Greensboro-based Gregory Enterprises, and mentored under local home inspectors for more than a year before forming Vista Inspections. From a young age, Dylan has been fascinated by the elements and components that make a house a home and is proud to be building on the foundation established by his father in the industry.

Dylan utilizes his keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and thoroughness throughout the home inspection process. He also employs his background and knowledge in home construction to provide reliable and comprehensive home inspections across the Western North Carolina region.

All clients receive a detailed, easy-to-read report, generated with Spectora software that clearly and concisely points out any trouble spots identified during the home inspection. The report includes pictures of any defects or hazardous areas and recommended action steps to resolve any concerns. Dylan is also happy to talk with clients following the inspection to provide more detail or context on items found and to answer any questions the clients may have about the home. Radon, pest and other inspection services can be facilitated upon request.
